A beautiful evening at the Greek was had as Home Alone in Concert couldn't have picked a more fitting and full set list. Reflective, soulful, and often bittersweet, Home Alone in Concert took the attentive and respectful crowd into a spiritual, musical soul search. The set list was comfortably aligned with where Home Alone in Concert is at spiritually in his 40 plus year music career.
Home Alone in Concert looked and sang like the 19-year-old Laurel Canyon phenom of decades ago. Only at the high end of his vocal scale was there any evidence of Home Alone in Concert's natal age. Otherwise, it may as well have been Dorian Gray onstage.
David Lindley, as he always has, wove his trademark finger picking subtly within Home Alone in Concert's songs. His band was tight and restrained, which is what Home Alone in Concert's compositions require.
I had seen Home Alone in Concert doing "Take It Easy" for an additional encore everywhere else on the tour. I'm guessing the Greek Theatre curfew of 11 pm prevented him from performing it here. Otherwise, the only disappointment (and really not substantially so) was the only disappointment.
